On FPF #86, I cover all the news on North Korea's most recent missile test. The missile test traveled over Northern Japan. Japan, South Korea, and US leaders have all made responses to the test. I also update Iran, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.
On FPF #85, I discuss the impact of the War on Terron on the US. My discussion on it is prompted by Trump's plans to resume the sale of surplus military equipment to police departments. I explain how the war affects the economy, culture, and civil liberties. I also update North Korea, Yemen, Syria, and Afghanistan.
On FPF #84, I discuss the Establishment's victory in Afghanistan policy. I explain how they can use their victory to start more war in Ukraine and Yemen. In Ukraine, the Establishment's plan of arming the government will lead to Nazi militias owning powerful US weapons. In Yemen, an increase in support for Saudi Arabia's war will lead to more death and starvation. I also update Russia, Iran, Qatar, and ISIS.
On FPF #83, I breakdown Trump's Afghanistan speech. On Monday, Trump announced his new Afghanistan policy. Trump presented his policy as a new policy that can finally turn the 16-year war in America's favor. However, his policy will only lead to a repeat of the mistakes made by Bush and Obama. Trump policy is an abandonment of campaign promises and a sell out to the establishment.
On FPF #82, I discuss Bannon leaving the White House and its impacts on wars in North Korea and Afghanistan. Before leaving the White House, Bannon said there was no military solution in North Korea. Bannon was also pushing a plan to privatize the Afghan War with Erik Prince. I also update the USS John McCain, ISIS War, Yemen, and Africa.
Ryan Burgett makes his first appearance on Foreign Policy Focus to discuss Christianity and War. Ryan discusses his views on Christianity and uses bible verses to explain his positions. Ryan breaks down why some Christians have different views on war. Ryan also explains effective arguments to engage Christians with.
There is a brief pause in the audio at 2:57 when the recording program stopped working. Ryan felt like the few seconds of missing audio did not take away from his argument, so I left a small pause to indicate that a few of Ryan's words are missing. There is also some popping in the audio and the audio quality is lower than typical on FPF. This was a great interview and I hope you will be able to overlook pops in the audio and learn a lot from Ryan like I did. I am working to get a higher quality of audio for future interviews.
Ryan is a licensed minister in the Mennonite church, I have four children and have been married eleven years. I make my living as a computer programmer building desktop, web, and mobile applications. Ryan's website ==> https://ryanburgett.com
On FPF #80, Will Porter returns to discuss Russiagate. Will debunk the latest claims and give his take. Will talks about a bombshell claim by Seymore Hersh that Seth Rick was the DNC leak. Hersh is now denying he said made that claim. Will then gives his working theory on what really happened with the DNC emails. Will also discuss the idea of Russia aggression and US/Russia relations.
Will Porter is a journalist and commentator with a focus on U.S. foreign policy and Mid East affairs. His freelance work can be found at the Libertarian Institute and Antiwar.com.
Will's notes
On FPF #79, I look at the new James Mattis/Rex Tillerson op ed in the Wall Street Journal on North Korea policy. Mattis and Tillerson explain the new policy of "strategic accountability" and the goals of the policy. Tillerson and Mattis explained how China will have to take a leading role in this policy. I examine the op ed and reveal the lies and omissions. I also update Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, and Kenya.
On FPF #78, I look at other news stories while everyone has been paying attention to North Korea. I discuss some early Trump immigration policy stats. I explain how the US backed Syrian rebels ended up fighting for Assad. I also give some new stats coming out of the ISIS War.
On FPF #77, I discuss the recent developments in the US/North Korean relations. Trump threatened to bomb North Korea, and Kim Jung Un threatened to nuke Guam. I review the relationship between the US and North Korea and how it has broken down. I also update Syria, Philippines, and Afghanistan.
On FPF #76, I discuss Trump's foreign policy advisors. The media has labeled several of Trump's establishment advisors as the "Adults." The other group receives several titles; nationalists is the most common. While labeled as "adults" the establishment continues to push the same old failed policy. The nationalist support a slightly less hawkish foreign policy. I also update Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Yemen.
On FPF #75, I discuss wars across the Middle East and the roles Saudi Arabia and Iran play. The split between Iran and Saudi Arabia has prolonged conflicts in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, Israel, Afghanistan, and Qatar. I break down the role each side plays in the different conflicts. I also update Trump, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria.
On FPF #74 I look at the crisis in Venezuela. The government is arresting political leaders as opposition protests continue. Several people have been killed in the latest protesting that started after Sunday's election. I give a brief history of Venezuela and highlight important current events. I also update Trump, North Korea, Yemen, and Afghanistan.
