Foreign Policy Focus

Foreign Policy Focus is a podcast hosted by me, Kyle! It covers current events overseas and how those events affect you at home. While US military operations in the Middle East seem like they are on the other side of the world, they have real impacts on the everyday lives of Americans. Wars are the most costly of all US government actions and politicians use them to strip away rights of Americans. Knowing what your government is doing around the globe will give you insight into what they are doing at home.

Since 2001, the AUMF has been used to justify military actions in at least 14 countries. The repeal vote failed but gained some traction. I also update Myanmar, Yemen, Syria, and Afghanistan.

On FPF #91, I share my experience of growing up after 9/11 and the Terror War. I was 10 when the 9/11 attacks happened. I share some myths I believed, I debunk those myths, and talk about how I was led to believe them.

Sep 8, 2017

On FPF #90, I discuss some recent reporting in the media. The fictions told be the media lead to a false understanding of foreign policy. I blast the media and reveal the truth.

On FPF #83, I breakdown Trump's Afghanistan speech. On Monday, Trump announced his new Afghanistan policy. Trump policy is an abandonment of campaign promises and a sell out to the establishment.

Ryan Burgett makes his first appearance on Foreign Policy Focus to discuss Christianity and War. Ryan discusses his views on Christianity and uses bible verses to explain his positions. Ryan breaks down why some Christians have different views on war. Ryan also explains effective arguments to engage Christians with.

There is a brief pause in the audio at 2:57 when the recording program stopped working. Ryan felt like the few seconds of missing audio did not take away from his argument, so I left a small pause to indicate that a few of Ryan's words are missing. There is also some popping in the audio and the audio quality is lower than typical on FPF. This was a great interview and I hope you will be able to overlook pops in the audio and learn a lot from Ryan like I did. I am working to get a higher quality of audio for future interviews.

Ryan is a licensed minister in the Mennonite church, I have four children and have been married eleven years. I make my living as a computer programmer building desktop, web, and mobile applications. Ryan's website ==> https://ryanburgett.com

On FPF #76, I discuss Trump's foreign policy advisors. The media has labeled several of Trump's establishment advisors as the "Adults." The nationalist support a slightly less hawkish foreign policy. I also update Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Yemen.

Aug 4, 2017

Aug 2, 2017

Several people have been killed in the latest protesting that started after Sunday's election. I give a brief history of Venezuela and highlight important current events. I also update Trump, North Korea, Yemen, and Afghanistan.

Jul 31, 2017

On FPF #73 I give all the latest news on the Sanctions Bill. The bill passed the House and Senate with a combined five no votes, and now Trump plans to sign it.
